Do you want to make a real difference for students with autism and help develop a business where every student is given the opportunity to succeed based on their prerequisites? At Östersund Resursskola, we are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented leisure-time pedagogue who is interested in helping to build a new and important operation.

Resursskolan is an adapted school environment for students within the autism spectrum. The operation is characterized by small student groups, high staff density, and close collaboration between educators, student health services, and guardians. Our focus is to create safety, structure, and accessible learning environments that give the students the best possible prerequisites for learning and development.

Job Responsibilities

As a leisure-time pedagogue at Resursskolan, you work to create a meaningful, safe, and developmental leisure-time activity based on the students' individual needs. You contribute to developing the operation and work actively to strengthen the students' social interaction, independence, and participation.

You collaborate closely with the school's other educators and student health services to create a cohesive and predictable school and leisure-time day for the students at the school.

Your Qualifications

  • Licensed leisure-time pedagogue/teacher in leisure-time centers.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
  • Have good knowledge of and experience working with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), especially autism.
  • You are computer literate, and it is an advantage if you have worked with digital systems aimed at schools.
  • A driver's license is desirable.

Personal Qualities

You who apply thrive in an environment where development, collaboration, and new thinking are a natural part of the work. You have a good ability to create structure and clarity in your work. You are flexible, eager to learn new things, and driven by finding new solutions. You are self-reliant and confident in your pedagogical leadership and have a good ability to build relationships with both students and colleagues.

You have a good ability to build trusting relationships and to see each student's unique strengths and needs. With a low-affective and relational approach, you adapt your working method to the individual. Through your empathy and sensitivity, you meet the students where they are and support them by listening, encouraging, stimulating, and challenging them to develop based on their own prerequisites.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

What We Offer

  • Regular and targeted further education for you as a leisure-time pedagogue in collaboration with the student health service.
  • A meaningful job where you make a difference every day.
  • Small student groups and high staff density.
  • Competent and engaged colleagues.
  • Opportunity to help develop a growing operation for students with autism.
  • A workplace where learning, collaboration, and professional development are in focus.
